Button customization in CATIA does not work properly

Post by Nepcior »

Hello,

My spacemouse: SpaceExplorer USB
My driver: 10.4.3 r2328

Problem description:
1. I want to customize buttons. I go to Catia, do the customization, but the commands for buttons are executed not from Catia, but from 3DConnexion driver. How to switch source of customization to Catia?
2. I tried to customize buttons in driver. I am not able to choose "Hide/Show" command. After i choose it, it jumps to other command: "Swap Hide/Show". In addition "Swap Hide/Show" command does not work. I get the message "Unknown command ..."

Hello Nepcior,

I am not sure with 3DxWare 10.4.3 as this is an older version of our driver. But with the last driver versions the way how to map button for Catia was changed. Please do not use the "Button Customization" panel from within Catia anymore. Open the driver properties and map the buttons there. This is what you describe in 2.

There was a problem with the command "Hide/Show" which is fixed in 3DxWare 10.4.4. I recommend you use 3DxWare 10.4.10 which can be downloaded from our driver archive.

I downloaded the driver exactly from this page. Now i checked it again and for Windows 10 x64 and SpaceExplorer USB suggested driver version is 10.4.3 and eventually 10.3.0. Are you sure 10.4.10 is sutable for SpaceExplorer USB?

Yes, it is.

We would like to clarify that SpaceExplorer was discontinued in May 2013 2010 and software support was maintained for three years. This means we continued to test the product with all new drivers until May 31st 2016.

After this date, we did not take any steps to stop SpaceExplorer working, but it is not tested with newer drivers. This means we do not list these drivers when you search for SpaceExplorer on the driver download page. However, if you download 3DxWare 10.4.10 from our driver archive download site by searching for another product (I suggest SpaceMouse Pro or SpaceMouse Enterprise), there is a chance it will work fine with your SpaceExplorer. Please be aware that because SpaceExplorer is not tested with this driver we will not be able to offer further technical support (but we hope that is not necessary).
