Runtime Library: Inventor.exe Application Error

The exception unknown software exception (0x40000015) occurred in application at location 0x7813461a.

this started happening after i installed the SpaceNavigator PE.

so far it happens when building a groove weld!

i do have the new driver installed for the SpaceNavigator PE

Hi Jamiec,

can you give me a step-by-step instruction what you do bevor Autocad crashes? Can this be reproduced or is it more like a random issue?
What operating system and Inventor-version do you use?

building a groove weld is basically all I'm doing. I tried it this morning without touch done the SpaceNavigator and it still crashed with the runtime error.

We do not have an reports of our devices crashing IV. That is not to say it cannot happen but we have not seen any such issues.

Try disabling the "3DxInventor" add-in in IV and stopping the SN driver (3DxWare). See if the problem is still reproducible and let us know.
