However the 3D Trainer STOPS WORKING after ZOOM. No SPIN, TILT or ROLL controls after that.
3DxWare 10.7.0-3278, Core 1.2.0-83 and Spacemouse firmware is 4.40
Is the "Trainer" the only application affected?
No - Viewer seams to work. Puzzle - pieces to not spin only up and down, in and out and right to left. Vectorworks 2021 - the joystick is super sensitive . Placing a simple cube in space - it rotates slowly then spins out in space wildly. Not working in Vectorworks 2021. Same issue in Vectorworks 2020 - Placing a simple cube in space - it rotates slowly then spins out in space wildly.- Not working.
I only have one crash report from this morning in Console caused by me switching from dongle to wired 3D space mouse crashed my mac during restart. I can send it if relevant.

We believe to have addressed an issue in driver that affected Vectorworks in unexpected ways (objects would disappear from view). I do not know if this is what you're experiencing but I would suggest trying the next driver update, beta 11.
"Beta 10" failed verification and we're completing "beta 11", expected to be made available tomorrow (Wednesday) or Thursday.
3Dconnexon has released "beta 11" (revision r3288) of the new driver for macOS. The "beta 11" build can be downloaded from the FAQ page linked here. A summary of the change history is available here.
We have addressed an instability in one driver that caused Chief Architect to crash.
Keystroke actions can now use modifier keys (Shift, Control, Option, Cmd). This change should also restore the modifier keys in SpaceMouse models with these keys (SpaceMouse Enterprise, SpaceMouse Pro).
Note the issue with modifier keys when using a CadMouse button remains pending. We're tracking that problem as MAC-268.

The driver in "beta 11" is expected to have addressed the issue that you reported in Vectorworks but this still open pending verification. We'd appreciate if you could update your driver installation to "beta 11" and check Vectworks once more. The details for "beta 11" are in the above post.

We would like to review the crash log, yes. Perhaps you can send the file over private message in this Forum?

I have down loaded the beta 11 - 3288 driver. Removed old driver then installed new 11. Same results. Viewer works, trainer stops at rotate and Vectorworks 2021 now works a little better but objects disappeared when rotated or spin was applied. Except not instantly.

Understood. Thank you, rjtiedeman.
The Vectorworks unresolved issue is particularly disappointing as we have fixed the problem we were observing (it matched well your description).
I just updated to beta 11 - 3288. I can confirm that macros with keystroke modifiers can now be performed when they are directly assigned to a button, tested in the Finder, Cinema4D and Safari. This works on my spacemouse wireless (Universal Receiver) and on my compact mouse wireless (Bluetooth).
BUT these same macros still do not work when you try to execute them via the radial menu, same issue on the space mouse wireless and on my compact mouse wireless.
Hi,
I installed the latest beta driver and the spacenavigator works fine on vectorworks 2021 …But then I installed the latest update BigSur 11.1 and now the spacenavigator is not working at all it’s not even seen by the Mac…….I don’t understand it anymore… The CadMouse Pro left is working fine.

That's a known issue. Modifiers keys on the Mac are masks to existing hardware events (keyboard or mouse). We should be able to resolve the issue when a modifier is assigned to a mouse button (just like we did when they are assigned to a SpaceMouse button) but the radial menus are all in software and we no longer have the ability to run a kernel extension. It's going to take a while to figure that one out. Replacing the kernel extension with a DriverKit extension (a "dext") it's what we have been trying to do since WWDC 2019.

How do I attach console reports???
Files cannot be attached to a private message. We normally just use a file sharing service like Dropbox or OneDrive.
We got the crash reports, rjtiedeman. Thank you for sharing the data. I've forwarded it to the relevant 3Dx team.
The team has looked at the data. Unfortunately, one crash is in the "Launch Service Daemon" (lsd), a system component, and the other is in Vectorworks but there's no indication of what went wrong. There is no direct connection to 3Dconnexion software.
If you can, we recommend using "Send Report..." to share the lsd crash to Apple and to send the other crash report to Vectorworks as they may be able to see if the SpaceMouse was directly at play.

We have more customers reporting issues after updating to macOS 11.1. We have yet to see these issues on our own systems using 11.1 (build 20C69).
Are you on an Intel machine? We don't yet have a "universal" driver for both Intel and M1.
