Hi,
I'm having a problem with my Space navigator and I would like some help.
So far what I've learned from the feedback meter in the 3d Connexion trainer is that the Pan U/D sensor is unreliable, it's either fully up or down and I have to press it all the way down for it to switch down, when it's in this mode the Tilt and Roll axis's stop working.
When I press the navigator all the way down, the Pan U/D goes down sometimes and it jumps to center and it works again just fine, including the Tilt and Roll sensors.
But 1 poke or a simple move and it goes back to being like this again.
I've tried recalibrating the unit several times and the problem persists on other computers so it's definitly the unit.
Is there an easy way to fix this?
Yours sincerely,
FSync

Re: Problems using my Space
Just opened up the SpaceNav, looked around but couldn't get inside the button itself or else i'd have to cut through the springs which I rather not, when putting it back together the Pan U/D Tilt and Roll inputs completely stop working alltogether.. maybe a broken wire?
I'm not sure about the elektronics of this device...

Hi Guys,
So far I've poured some alcohol in it and shook it around, but the problem remains, Roll and tilt are only functional when the U/D is pressed all the way down, the U/D sensor only registers when the spacemouse is all the way down too, I'm at my wits end and really want to have this fixed.
I can't disassemble the unit without cutting through the springs effectively breaking the unit too, anyone got any other ideas?

Well considering the lack of replies it's probably not an easy fix.
I have phoned up an electronics expert in my vicinity and he told me he's going to try and open it up and clean the sensors by taking away the solder from the springs.
