Space Navigator, Photoshop CS3 crashes every time

I just recently purchased a Space Navigator and every time I use it with Photoshop CS3, the program crashes within 10-20 seconds of trying to scroll or zoom with using the Space Navigator.

I have a Space Navigator SE, 3Dconnexion version 3.5.6 (Driver 6.5.5, Firmware 3.18) and Adobe Photoshop CS3 (v.10.0).

When I first received it in the mail, I ran the CD and it asked me to download the newest version of the drivers off the internet, which I did and then everything ran fine. I was able to use it with Google Earth without any issues, but it crashes my Photoshop and when I tried the free version of Google Sketch-up (v.6) it doesn't work at all, nothing comes up when I run it, nor do I have the 3Dconnexion toolbar. Aside from that, I've had at least 4 occurrences when my keyboard alphanumeric keys (a-z, 0-9) stopped working and would cause all sorts of windows to open (as if I were pressing the windows key, ie

In Sketchup, have you tried maually activating the 3Dx addon?

View>Toolbars>3DxSketchup

This is what I had to do to get it working with my SpacePilot.

No idea on your Photoshop problem I'm afraid, works fine on CS3 here.

Do you have any crash logs from PS? If you're running XP or 2003, see this article for information about generating and getting crash logs http://www.windowspeople.com/server-200 ... atson.html

Are there any other applications or utilities running in the background that map keyboard macros? These could include mouse drivers or other input device drivers.
