SpaceTraveler3 USB Driver Problem

Post by djsoc16 »

Hi,

Windows XP SP2
Nvidia Quadro FX1400.
2Gb Ram
On a network
I am the only user on this computer with Administrative rights.

Problem:

SpaceTraveler eventually stops being recognized by the system when the computer was shutdown and restarted. The computer was shutdown for the weekend (2 days or so). When booting up from start the window appears with the following message:

3Dconnexion Motion Controller driver (3DxWare) not found. Please start the driver now. You do not have to shut down Solid Edge.

This has happened twice to me so far. First time this happened I uninstalled the software and reinstalled with the latest software on the 3dconnexion website (I believe it's version 3.5.6). Both times I've worked with the system for many days without any problems. Mostly just logging off at night, a few times shutting down for the night and starting back up in the morning. Then the SpaceTraveler stops working. Seems like a software problem.

Corrective Actions tried:
- Rebooting
- Uninstalling/Reinstalling latest sofware/driver
- Running 3DxWare.exe from a command prompt
- Unplugging/Re-Plugging into other USB slots

Hi djsoc16,

Please contact our technical support. Maybe your device needs to be replaced.
