centre of rotation- Space Pilot with Solidworks 2007

Post by pat murphy »

Hi all,

Just bought a space pilot :D Still gettting to grips with it. One thing I can't figure out is how do i change my centre of rotation. All my models rotate about the origin which can be quite annoying when I zoom in. I'm sure there's a really simple way to sort this out but I can't find it. Can anyone help me please.

regards,
Pat.

Sets Center Point :

(Icon is the very first one in the 3dControl Toolbar.)

After selecting an Origin point, a Vertex point, a Sketch point, a Face or an Edge, this command will set the selection as the new rotation point. The button will remain selected as long as the new center point is active. By pressing the button again, the center point will revert to the default (origin point of the current coordinate system). This command is not available in Drawing mode (2D).

The 3DConnexion Solidworks help file has a listing of all the Toolbar commands.
