SpaceExplorer and Photoshop CS3

Post by DPVisions »

Could someone point me to instructions/documentation on what controller cap movements are actually mapped to in CS3.

I have searched thru the FAQ and other CS3 topics here on being able to change brush size using the SpaceExplorer but I have not been able to get this functionality to work. I have the latest drivers/software for the SpaceExplorer and have made sure that a keyboard shortcut is assigned. So how is brush size adjustments supposed to work?

I also have not been able to figure out what functionality is enabled by twisting or what is refered to as "roll" for the controller cap.

I am able to pan left/right & up/down either by pushing/pulling the controller cap left/right or forward/backward. I can also change the configuration to allow panning via the controller cap tilt/spin axis controll. I have zooming controll enabled by pulling up or pushing down on the controller cap.

In your current configuration of zooming by pulling up or pushing down on the cap, you should be able to adjust the brush size by turning the cap clockwise or counter-clockwise like a door knob.

Be sure to select a brush type of tool. You should see the brush size change value on the Option toolbar.

I have now gotten the brush size to work by twisting the cap. I had to reset to the default of the keyboard shortcuts and redo the specific keyboard shotcut for the SpaceExplorer to work.

It would be extremely helpful to new customers if the dialog displayed when first running Photoshop after the 3D controller is connected specified the explicit keyboard shortcut required (Alt + Shift + Ctrl + H).
