[Installation] Failed: Error 1935/1603

Just got my SpaceNavigato PE from Amazon, trying to install it, but no luck.

When I plug in the device it is being detected and installed (some default driver). But when I try to install the newest Software (3DxSoftwarePE_v3-5-6) I'm getting these errors:

Installation Failed

It never installs it correctly if I click yes. As far as I checked it looks like that it rolls back the whole installation and only leaves the folders and some help files and dll's.

I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate as administrator. I tried installing it directly with admin privilegs and also using Vista's Compatibility-Assistent for Windows XP SP2. I also tried to use the repair function.

After "hours" of research I figured out how to fix this problem. Installed it now and works perfect, great stuff

For those who encounter the same problem, here is how to fix it:

Run a Command Prompt as administrator (right click "Run as Admin." under Vista) and type this command:

fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\

"c" being the drive where your OS is installed.

You should get the message "operation completed successfully."

Reboot

If you have done as quoted above, go ahead and install it, should work.
