Need Help ..! :)

Hi all

bought a Spacetraveler last week, and found something ..

I am using XP SP2 TC, and using my 3d mouse on StreetSmartPro (a stock trading platform from Schwab), ..... what I do with the 3d mouse is customized the buttons, ie button 1=Alt 1, button 2=Alt 2, to submit trading orders .....

the problem is

button 1 "Tab Key" from the pull down menu
button 2 "Tab" from the "custom functions"

with Google Earth off, Custom functions button doesn't work
the result is button 1 works, button 2 doesn't works

with Google Earth on, Custom functions button work
the result is both of button 1 and button 2 works

Google Earth need to be activated on the background, both buttons work


I have tried WordPad, same result ..


is this a bug ???

Hi stocktrader,
You could try the following:

1. Close all programs
2. Start 3DxWare
3. Start StreetSmartPro
4. Go to the 3DConnexion Control Panel, select "Options-Save As..."
5. Enter "StreetSmartPro"
6. Create your "Custom Functions" in the "Button Configuration"-tab
7. Map your new Custom Functions

The tab key and the custom functions use two different mechanisms to send the tab key to an application. Some applications only respond to one or the other. The Tab Key from the menu is the most reliable. You should always use this menu selection when trying to send a Tab key.

I tried it and after I quited Google Earth, Custom Functions buttons didn't work .....

what I need to submit to SmartStreetPro are Alt+1, Alt+2, ....... so I need to use custom function buttons ......

hope next version of driver can fix my problem ...... thanks
