Customize Menu keys (1,2,3,4) with modifier keys (ctrl, alt)

I have a spacemouse pro and have a very simple and quick question that I have spent a while searching for and haven't found an answer. Hopefully this forum post will help others and limit the amount of time they spend searching for the answer.

Is it possible to customize the menu keys (1, 2, 3, 4) with the modifier keys (ctrl, shift, and alt) to form key combinations such as ctrl+1 or alt+3?

If this is not possible, could someone please add it as a future enhancement.

Hi sirus,

the SpaceMouse Pro shows the "On Screen Display" if you keep one of the buttons 1 - 4 hold. Therefore you can not combine a hold of button 1-4 with another key press. That's what we have the modifier keys on the left side of the device for. Is there any special reason why you don't want to use those that are designed for this kind of use?

So, quite possibly I am missing something. I have the keybindings for the 1 through 4 keys set. Of note, I am using the spacemouse primarily with 3ds max. When I press and let go of the 1 through 4 buttons they do what I have set them to do, but nothing happens when I hold any of the 1 through 4 buttons down. Are they supposed to do something if held down instead of simply pressing and letting go. When I hold any of these buttons down in any application nothing happens. The onscreen display appears when I press the menu key.

But, I am not looking for a reminder of what I have set the 1-4 keys to; instead, I am interested in not having to move my left hand to the keyboard so frequently, which a greater number of key combinations on the spacemouse pro would permit or otherwise allow for.
