Manipulating a single entity

Post by Reverend Jim »

Hi all! I am using a Space Navigator in UG NX4. I was wondering if it is possible to use the Navigator to move and place one entity in my model. We have a component that we place in the model using key-ins to provide a location as to radial position, tilt angle, degree around, offset from zero and depth. That's alot of key ins to position a part and I don't always get the results I want or was expecting. What I'd like to do is use the Navigator to place the item on my model. Any ideas?

Hi Reverend Jim,

This type feature (manipulating components of an assembly) is currently not possible in NX. Since the support for navigation using 3Dconnexion device is maintained by UGS, we suggest our customer to send this type of requests directly to their Customer Service.

For the benefit of other Forum and NX users, we appreciate if you post here their response to your request.
