Space Mouse Pro and SketchUp 2015

I know I am not the only one with this issue...and I have read almost every thread out there, but I cannot find the answer. I just installed SketchUp Pro 2015 on a Windows based 64 bit computer. Then I downloaded the latest 3Dconnexion driver (3DxWare64_v10-3-0_r2161) and reinstalled for my Space Mouse Pro. I cannot get the Mouse to work in Sketchup. I see an "rb" file in the 3Dconnexion folder, but when I try to install the extension in SU it tells me it cannot install.

SU 2015 typically looks for an "rbz" plugin extension. So, if I work through the Preferences it will not even "see" the plugin. I tried using a plugin that will allow 2015 to install an "rb" file - but, again, I get the error message that it cannot install this plugin.

I would appreciate any help you can provide. I know someone(s) is out there using SU 2015 with Windows 7 64 bit. Thanks - Lorri

if you make a default installation of 3DxWare 10 there should be no need to load the plugin in SketchUp. It should be loaded automatically. Just make sure you close SketchUp while you install the driver (and the plugin).

After you installed the driver open in SketchUp -> Window -> Preferences -> Extensions. Verify that you have an entry for 3DxSketchUp. Is this the case?

If you have SketchUp running open the 3Dconnexion Preferences and open "Advanced Settings". On the left side of this window - do you see the sliders for the speed for the 6 rotational and translational axes? Or do you see "Navigation Modes" and "Rotation Center"?
