SpacePilot & Solidworks 2008 & Vista

My collegue is running Solidworks 2008 with a SpacePilot on Windows XP, with no problems whatsoever (driver v 3.5.5). I'm running the same versions of everything except I'm on Vista. My joystick control has weird sensitivity in Solidworks...one axis seems much more sensitive than the rest, and I can't seem to adjust it out with the control panel. I'm not sure why it doesn't work correctly straight away, like it does on XP. Seems to be a Vista issue.

Anyone else seen this?

Hi John,

Please try to delete all user-created-profiles in the control-panel of 3DxWare.
1) When you start SolidWorks and open the 3DxWare control panel, you should see "SolidWorks" as your current profile. If you then adjust the default-speed of the device, do all movements get faster/slower?

2) When you then open the advanced-tab, you should be able to adjust the speed for a specific axis. Does this work/not work on a specific axis?

Does it make a difference when you change the zoom-direction?

Thanks for the information. I deleted the custom profiles and started over as you suggested. Perhaps I had it so misadjusted I could not recover otherwise.

Everything is working smoothly now, thanks!
