SM Pro & NX10: some buttons work, others won't

I've installed a new Spacemouse Pro at work where we use NX10. I've gotten the joystick to move in the directions I prefer, and now I'm trying to map the buttons to my preferred configuration. Currently, buttons 1, 2 & 3 along with the rest of the buttons on the left side of the mouse (ESC, CTRL, Shift, ALT, Menu) all work fine. I've mapped 1-2 as follows:

1: CTRL+L (Layer Settings)
2: CTRL+SHIFT+M (Move to Layer; I've created this shortcut in NX itself)
3: CTRL+W (Show/Hide dialog)

It seems that no matter what I map button 4 (or the rest of the buttons on the right side of the mouse) for, nothing works. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? As a test, I tried mapping button #4 for CTRL+L (which works fine on button 1), and even that doesn't work.

it might be that the button 4 lost connectivity electronically. Can you please try the button another application? For example the 3Dconnexion Viewer.

If the button is not working correctly you should contact our Technical Support Team and have them start the RMA process for you.

Thank you for the reply. In the 3DConnexion viewer, none of the following buttons work:

Lock Rotation
Top
Front
Right
Fit
Roll

We've got a few more Spacemouse Pros that are still new-in-box in the IT department; I'll see if I can trade this one for another and if that fixes the problem, I'll have IT contact tech support for RMA.

We're working on it now; will post back once we make some headway. All of the Spacemouse Pro's in the department (7-10) have problems with their buttons. It doesn't appear to be different issues though from mouse-to-mouse (different buttons won't work on each). At this point, we're not sure if it's a mouse issue or an NX issue.

UPDATE:

I got a new Spacemouse Pro from the IT department, and it works perfectly! All the buttons work as I want them to. Nothing else was changed, so I must have gotten a bum mouse somehow; it was new when I received it a few weeks ago (still sealed). IT will be contacting tech support soon for RMA.
