Space explorer not working in Solidworks 2008

I have installed drivers for Space explorer on Solidworks 2008 twice and each time after shutdown Space explorer no longer functions although light is still lit and 3Dconnexion demos still work. Can anyone help please??

Which version of 3Dconnexion's software do you have installed?

I have v. 3.6.7 software installed. I have also tried using the mouse on my other PC running SW2007 in work and am having a similar problem. The mouse worked at first then ceased to work the next time I booted up. I tried again the next day and it miraculously started to work again. Today it wasn't working again, the USB device wasn't recognised on the desktop and the 3D Connexion control panel wouldn't open. This time the blue LED didn't light up either. I'm very dissapointed because I have found the Space explorer to be very beneficial when it does work. Any ideas?

Try this: unplug your device, reboot the machine and follow the instructions in this post.
