Any Intactix users out there?

Post by christian »

I use a program called Intactix Space Planning by JDA. It allows one to build 3-D models of beverage coolers and their contents. Product orientation is done with keystrokes and this 3dconnection device looks perfect for the job. However, I cannot seem to figure out how to make it work.

I apologize for being a newbie, but I have no idea where to start and what to so next.

It looks like I may have to program it somehow to make it work. Not being a programmer, that scares me.

Can someone please direct me towards a tutorial or something so that I can use this device?

Thank you,
Christian

In the short run, you may be able to use the driver mentioned in this thread:

It is NOT in any way supported by 3Dconnexion, but some people have been able to use it successfully. It can be quite a task to get it to work.

The best approach is to contact the developers of Intactix to ask them to add formal support for the 3Dx devices into their product. This will result in a much better experience for you.

Thank you for the reply. Discouraging news, however. It seems like a great device, but I have learned to avoid starting unfinished kits: I'm just not nerdy enough to want to build the radio I listen to or make the paper I write on.

Cheers,
