No 3D Controller Could not be detected

Post by Dodrain »

I work with Spaceball 4000 FLX on my Windows Vista (32-bit) computer. Downloaded the last driver. When my computer starts i hear the familiar 2 beeps comming from the Spaceball.

But when i try to start de 3Dxconnexion driver, i get the message 3D Controller Could not be detected.

When i unplug the cable and replug it again, i hear again the beeps. So there must be a connection.

What can i try more?

This is urgent.

Spaceball 4000, 5000 Serial devices, are not supported on Vista.
The driver is only supported on Win XP(32 bit) Win 2000.

problem solved

Post by Dodrain »

Dear,

I found the solution for the problem. After installing the driver, Vista changed the number of the COM-port to 15.

I changed it to COM1 and heard a long serie of beeps. Then after a while the beping stopped. And guess what the Spaceball works fine in Windows Vista.

So problem solved.
