Where is the AutoCAD Toolbar?

Post by kennynut »

I'm sure this is obvious, but I closed the ACAD toolbar and now I can't find where it is so I can launch it again. I even un-installed the 3Dconnection software, restarted the computer and reinstalled it. I'm running the latest software from the website.

Thanks

Hi kennynut,

normally you can activate the toolbar via "Tools -> Toolbars -> AutoCAD -> 3Dconnexion". Please let me know if this does not work.

If you cannot find or not install the toolbar, you can take the commands and put in your acad.pgp file.

_3dxpivot
_3dxtogglerolling
_3dxfree
_3dxwalk
_3dxfly
_3dxhelp

example:

dp, *_3dxpivot

I cannot find the toolbar anywhere on my system. I have the latest drivers installed (as of this writing). I have both Acad 2010 and 2012 installed. I understand that 2012 has built-in drivers, but the 2010 version always had a toolbar to load. Now, not only is the toolbar not showing up in AutoCAD 2010, the file does not show up in a search of my computer (I searched for all .cui and .cuix files).

Please help.

Thx,
Steve

Aisha,

I'm not sure about Vista, but on Windows 7 I found it here:

C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware\3DxAutoCAD64\toolbar\en-us

Patch-WayneFire, I'm pretty sure that is a biological-bot post. We usually delete those before you even see them. They are getting cleverer and cleverer. I saw one earlier where the person(?) actually read the full topic, with links, and put together a fairly intelligent sentence before adding their link to some nefarious web site. I would be very impressed if software-bots were intelligent enough to dig that deep and put together a such a complex post.

Thanks. Fooled me. I generally ignore sig links unless somebody has earned my respect via textual discorse.

Cheers!
