key press / repeat / hold down
First time poster here. I searched around quite a bit, but still have this ques.
Is there anyway to hold a button down (pilot pro) and have it repeatedly press a key? In other words, behave like a keyboard does...Hold a key for repeated action. Using in Mastercam x4, if that matters.
thanks

Two Commands per Button on the PRO
Dear mishikwest,
There is no repeating feature of the nature you describe built into the buttons. They are designed for executing a command. On the PRO, we have built it a special feature for the choice of two different commands per button. Holding the button down a small amount of extra time will execute the second command assigned to that button. I've found it to work pretty smoothly. It makes twice the number of commands available and they are accessed quite easily.
Sincerely,
Bryan

The more things change, the more they remain the same. ; ^ )

Thanks for the replies.
In Mastercam when backploting a toolpath (which is graphically seeing the moves a cutting tool will make) each press of the "S" button the tool will advance one move. If you hold the "s" button, it repeats. Sometimes there are tens of thousands of moves. Thus you can see why holding the button down is beneficial.
Thanks for the tip on dual assigning a button, I was looking forward to it. However I mis-spoke, I don't have the pro, just the regular.
