SpacePilot Pro - reprogram LCD?

Post by RichardWFugroGRL »

We're looking for a replacement for our expensive, aging control console and the SpacePilot Pro looks like it could be suitable.

Can the menus in the LCD screen be re-programmed to show what we want them to?

Can we change the background colours, add a company bitmap to the background, start up screen, etc?

you can't configure the LCD in that way. It's a display for the assigned buttons. However, using the Display Viewer application, the LCD can show custom image files. You can display your company logo.

Actually, the SpacePilot Pro LCD is completely programmable using the standard Logitech SDK which ships with the device. You can display anything you want on it. It is a high speed device; you can even display video. It would make a terrific console.

Thanks for your reply JWick, just what I wanted to hear.

The possibility for displaying video on it has got me thinking good things!

(the control console we're replacing is used to control a simulation of an ROV)

I even ported one of our demos to it. It was kinda fun. Sort of like your own personal game arcade machine. With a really small display.
