Cadmouse and 3DConnexxion MousePad don't work together

Goodmorning,

Last week I finally received my Cadmouse and mousepad (the XL version). The CadMouse works perfectly on my smooth desk surface, no problems .
However, as soon as I place the Cadmouse on the mousepad, the cursor lags and gets choppy (USB wired Cadmouse, btw).

So what goes wrong here? Please help.

For me that happens only if I reverse my pad and put the rubber side up.
So far for me the sensor works very good and reliable on the pad.
(Teflon Pads under Mouse show some pretty wear though)

I wonder why it works for you on any other surface.
As otherwise my first thought would have been dust in the sensor opening or such things.
