I have SpaceExplorer which is serial (rs-232) connection. It works on linux but i can't use linux any more because of the CAD program which i have to use on windows. I have been looking for any solution to use it on windows more than 10 days.
Has anybody answer what is the difference between SpaceExplorer serial and usb editions? Is there any hardware (chipset, buttons, body, etc.) differences (except conneciton type) ? Only the SpaceExplorer Serial does not support windows OS in 3Dconnexion products. It is so ironic !
I am using Windows 7 and i connected the SpaceExplorer my rs-232 port. I bought "Digitus DA-70156" and i tried to test SpaceExplorer on Windows Vista, XP and 2000 on many different PC. It was failed.
I used SpaceMouse Plus Serial on any operating systems. It works great. My be SpaceMouse Plus Serial is older than me but its' driver works well every where.
Is 3DConnexion any programmer or forum admin think to write a new driver for SpaceExplorer Serial ? May be it is too tough for this company
I read all articles and discussions on forums. ( viewtopic.php?t=7 and http://kb.3dconnexion.eu/support/kb/?Vi ... EntryID=32 )
I think 3Dconnexion must support any devices with drivers on any OS.
Please If you have same problem and want solution, write to this topic.
