Modifying Solidworks/Creo XML files to assign layer-shifting on Spacemouse Enterprise

Post by snarejunkie »

I just got an Enterprise, and boy is it cool. However, I had assumed that with an LCD screen,There would be an option to swap the mapping of the keys 1-12 (that correspond to the screen) inside the program, for example, It would be nice to be able to switch from a bnak of sketch functions, to bank of feature functions, to a set of surface functions.. basically I want tabs, but on the spacemouse.

I've managed to locate the solidworks XML file (which, is it named '23400.134768.commands.xml'), but I'm not sure how to set it up so that I can assign, idk maybe one of the view buttons as a layer-cycling command.

If this has already been answered, I apologize for the duplicate, and could you please point me to the answer?
