SpaceMouse Pro buttons not working

Running a spacemouse pro, Windows 10 64bit, with Siemens NX 2206. I just installed the 10.8.21.3755 driver, hoping that would help.

Basically, the 1, 3 and 4 buttons don't work, #2 (Base Group) brings up the radial menu, but nothing on it works. The view buttons, and the fit button do not work. The view buttons on the 3Dconnexion toolbar in NX do work. It's not the spacemouse either, I have other users with the same issue.

SpaceMouse is plugged directly into the laptop, not a hub.

I've checked the custom_dirs.dat file, confirming the line:
$UGII_3DCONNEXION_DIR/$UGII_VERSION
exists.

I have checked the ugii_env.dat and
UGII_3DCONNEXION_LIBRARY=${UGII_3DCONNEXION_DIR}\${UGII_VERSION}\startup\3DxNX.dll
is set.

System env variables:
UGII_3DCONNEXION_DIR+C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxNX\ugii_dir\
UGII_3DCONNEXION_DIR32=C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxNX\ugii_dir32\
are both set.

I have confirmed all of these are correct in the NX logfile, and the 3Dconnexion tab is being added to NX.

Make sure your NX 2206 is the very first initial release, Build 1700, may be Build 3001 is supported too.

We are running 2206.6002 and 2206.9200 so that may be the issue.

You can use 7-zip archive manager to extract the 3DxNX64.msi file from the 3DxWare v10.8.21 installer. Obviously developers at 3Dconnexion didn't download the NX 2206.6002 or 2206.9200 installer from Siemens Global Technical Access Center (GTAC) website to compile the 3Dconnexion for NX plug-in source code with the NX Open C++ APIs/library from NX 2206.6002 or 2206.9200 to generate a working TDxNX22206_x64.dll plug-in for the updated specific build numbers. From my observation, it's the fault of developers of NX software of Siemens Digital Industries Software, they broke the backward compatibility for third-party plug-ins. The NX update is on a monthly basis, you can't ask third-party hardware driver developers to keep up with their pace/update cycle.

The hardware manufacturer is only a small company, with employee number at the range of 50 or so, while Siemens Digital Industries Software has tens of thousands...

I call 'em, as I see 'em. Thousands of users of their devices, and they can't take 10 minutes to download new versions of the software? Heck, I'd be happy if they would just reply to my support request. Submitting a second one now.

Well, the 3Dconnexion developers are mainly in Europe, the Siemens GTAC software download server is in USA(may be in Plano, Texus), I don't know if the download speed is fast enough to download the 10GiB+ file size NX installer from the Siemens server within 10 minutes or so...
