Hello, I just got a brand new spacemouse compact wireless BT edition, and it works great with Cinema 4D! Yay! Having so much fun learning how to use it.
However, I am having trouble getting it working with Houdini 19.5.716 on macOS 14.5 on an M1 Max MacBook Pro. The viewport in Houdini is unresponsive when I try to move it with the 3D mouse. Note: I am positive I have clicked into the viewport with the regular mouse to make it the active viewport, and I've tried reinstalling the drivers from the 3Dconnexion pref pane after adding Houdini 19.5.716.app manually to the config list... Unfortunately I am still stuck in the mud with Houdini, and there is not much talk online/elsewhere about this issue.
Am I missing something obvious? Is there something else I need to do to get it to work with Houdini?
Thanks so much for your time!
Leah

I found the fix here: https://www.sidefx.com/forum/topic/48526/#post-220309
The user stated they had to reinstall Houdini after installing the 3Dconnexion drivers. I tried this, and it worked!

Ok not out of the woods yet...
I guess when I reinstalled, I used the intel version of houdini on my M1 mac...
After reinstalling with the arm64 native version of houdini, it is once again broken.
So, it looks like the drivers are only compatible with the intel/x86 version of houdini
