Space mouse compact bluetooth

I did a search, but I could not find anything definitive.
The 3Dconnexion site seems to imply the bluetooth does not connect to the Mac and requires a dongle, but the dongle will not work with the Mac?

Does it work?

Conenction via BT works fine with macOS system same as the dongle.
