We use SpaceNavigator with Virtual PC technology based on the VDI product from Citrix, XenDesktop 5.6, on which we installed Inventor 2013. The SpaceNavigator is connected to a PC and is used as a thin client to connect to a virtual PC and everything is connected with the Citrix HDX protocol. Its looks like terminal server except that it's Windows 7 nativ.
SpaceNavigator usually connects properly and can be used normaly in Inventor.
But occasionally and randomly 3D mouse disconnects and lose the connection (4-5 times per day). It seems that the problem come from the network, and we've been able to improve the situation by playing on the protocol priority. Prioritize channel that transmits information from the USB port redirection. See http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX128190
Do you have an idea about this disconnection problem?
Is there a setting that increase the timeout to the USB port?

Re: SpaceNavigator lose the connection in XenDesktop
Hi c.denervaud,
We are not aware of a disconnection issue with out devices in XenDesktop. In fact, I cannot recall any virtual environment product (such as XenDesktop) having this issue.
We'll see if we can reproduce the problem but, from your description, it appears to be a problem that can only be addressed by Citrix, the vendor of XenDesktop.
