Invalid File Found

Post by LyzJ »

"C:\ProgramData\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\Cfg\FAROSCENE.xml is invalid in 17.9.3. Cannot upgrade a file in this location." The options are to Dismiss or contact Tech Support.

I upgraded to the latest driver, but a reboot gives me the same error. THe end-user can use the SpaceMouse in SolidWorks, but this error makes me crazy(er). Hoping ~~someone out there ~~ has seen this.

Thank you for your time.

Faro would need to update their 3Dconnexion integration in Faro Scene software.
3Dconnexion would be more than happy to support Faro doing so. They can reach out to us and together we easily can investigate the cause of it.

Have you contacted Faro directly regarding this message?
Their Support shared the following workaround with other users:
To hide this error, you can use a Microsoft workaround by disabling the notification in the 3D Connexion app:
System > Notifications & actions
scroll down to the "Notifications from apps and other senders" list.
This list shows Windows system functions, store apps and traditional desktop apps that can send notifications.
If you set an app to "Off", Windows will prevent this app from displaying notifications.
