I have been using the Space Mouse for years. It has saved me from tennis elbow type injuries from needing to use my right had for modeling and movement within the model.
But the driver software had gotten to the point where it is VERY difficult to use. Im using SU v.24 and MacOS Ventura 13.2.1.
When navigating in closer or out further in the model, at some point several seconds into the movement it invariably goes into hyperdrive and zooms insanely far in or out such that I need to reset the camera position using zoom extents. It seems to be getting worse over time and I'm about to give up.
I'm looking now for an alternative to the Space Mouse because of this.
Can someone fix this glitch in the Mac driver software?

Hi Bob-clearplan,
By SU v.24 you mean SketchUp 2024?
Which version of the driver do you use?
What is size of a model that you work with?

Yes, Sketchup Up 2024. I'm using the most recent version of the Mac OS driver. Just downloaded and installed it (possibly again) yesterday.
My models get fairly large at >150 MB.
Thanks!

Smaller Sketchup 2021 pro models under 50-mB also have this wild zoom in/out uncontrollable lightspeed SpaceMouse "FEATURE" under MacOS Sonoma v14.7.2 on an Intel CPU when using various SU tools. This has been awful since at least 2020 and makes me curse 3Dconnexion and myself for ever having purchased the product.
It is only because of this out-of-control wild hyper-speed glitch using Sketchup with my Spacemouse wireless (and wired) that on Sketchup forums I steer MacOS sketchup users away from any 3Dconnexion products. Truly terrible drivers under MacOS - horrid !

+1 here. SKP 2024 and MacOS 15.3.2. Not looking for alternative but looking for a switch to stop 'acceleration'. One wrong move and I'm off into a an obscure spot in the model requiring a zoom extents to see where I ended up. Plus wireless Spacemouse isn't and hasn't been for some time . .
