SpaceMouse Wireless not working on Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 1607 — Bluetooth connects, USB detected, but no input at a

Hi everyone,
I’m currently struggling to get my 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse Wireless working on an offline Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB (Version 1607, Build 14393) workstation.

The device can connect over Bluetooth (and even shows as connected), and I also tested it via USB cable and Universal Receiver, but none of these methods produce any input or movement in the 3DxWare software or Trainer.

The exact same SpaceMouse works perfectly on my Windows 11 Pro (24H2) laptop, so the hardware itself is definitely fine.
The problem seems to be with Windows 10 LTSB 1607 itself or driver compatibility.

It seems that Windows 10 LTSB 1607 lacks proper HID over GATT (Bluetooth LE input) support,
and possibly has outdated HIDClass / WinUSB APIs that 3DxWare depends on.

This LTSB machine controls industrial hardware and cannot easily be upgraded,
so I’m looking for any possible workaround — older driver, firmware patch, registry tweak, or HID proxy idea.

Any tips or confirmations from people who managed to run modern 3Dconnexion devices on older Windows builds would be greatly appreciated.

Replace the SpaceMouse Wireless with SpaceMouse Compact.

The minimum requirement is 3DxWare driver v.10.8.15 and later for both Bluetooth Editions, the SpaceMouse Wireless and the SpaceMouse Pro Wireless.

Starting from v. 10.8.15, 3DxWare has a minimuem requirement for Windows 10 OS Version 2004 and later or Windows 11 OS.
