CadMouse Compact Wireless buttons not working with 10.7.4 driver

Post by Bassquake »

Hi.

Using Windows 10 (22H2) and CadMouse Compact Wireless with drivers 10.7.4 because I also use a SpacePilot Pro and the LCD only works properly with it (the text overlay in Function keys goes missing on newer drivers).

Anyway, the only way I could get the CadMouse options to show in the 3dxWare settings is to do the following:
  • Stop 3DxWare
  • Connect the mouse via windows Bluetooth
  • Start 3DxWare
  • Switch mouse to 3dconnexion universal receiver
Can now see the mouse settings but the customisation of buttons dont work. Only "Swap middle / right mouse buttons" work. The RM menu doesnt work, cant customise the back/forward buttons etc. Doesnt matter if its bluetooth, universal or wired connected, it wont customise the buttons.

I notice the connection icons under the mouse are all greyed out so looks like its not properly seeing the device. See attached screenshot.

Installing 10.8.8 and the buttons all works and connection icon shows but I need to use 10.7.4. Its listed on 3dconnexion site its compatible.

So does anyone know how to get the mouse working in 10.7.4?

Upgrade the SpacePilot Pro to SpaceMouse Pro or Pro Wireless, or Enterprise, then install the latest v10.9.12.
