I am on the verge of purchasing a Space Navigator but I do nothing with 3D models. I simply want it to bind Windows Media actions to it such as play, pause and use the knob to control volume. Maybe making pressing down mute and twist volume up and down.
Is this possible on Windows 8? If so, is it responsive. If it is I will be purchasing immediately.

our devices were designed for working in the 3D area. But we have a new driver (currently still in beta) with which you are able to assign different actions (or keystrokes) to one of the axes of the 3D mouse.
