3Dx for Nvaigator Repair/Reinstall wants 3DxMaya32.msi

Post by windbag »

I'm using Vista 32 bit Business, installed/installing 3DxSoftware32_v3-16-3_r1447 for my Space Navigator.

It's not working with Google Earth v7.0.3.8542 (Build Date 26/2/2013)

Tried a validation, and it stopped at wanting a "network resource that is unavailable".
Trying to find 3DxMaya32.msi at:
C:\Users\A\AppData\Local\Temp\pft7999.tmp\components32\3DxMaya\

I haven't had Maya for years!
3DxMaya32.msi isn't anywhere on my system - though 3DxMaya.mll is at
C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware\3DxMaya32\win32\Maya 2013
- but it won't take that path as valid.

If I skip the step, it stops repairing and I still don't have it working for Google Earth.
I also tried re-installing - which did exactly the same thing.

Please advise how make progress.

Hello windbag,

for Google Earth the problem could perhaps be solved if you check if the 3D mouse is enabled in Google Earth. See this FAQ how to enable the 3D mouse for Google Earth.

For the other problem with Maya I recommend that you do a clean uninstallation and re-install the driver again as described here.

Let us know if this helps or if you need further assistance.
