Blue led flashes on all space mice

Post by wgeerlings »

From today suddenly the blue LED flashes on all of our space mice.

I'm using a space explorer USB and my collegues are using SpaceNavigators USB. We are all running latest driver 3.17.8
Windows 7, 64 bit. Autodesk Autocad and Inventor are the main programms we use.

What does the flashing LED want to tell us? It is quite annoying, because it keeps attracting intention during our work.

(Sorry for this dubbel-post but I could not find the 'Edit' button?)

Additional information:
A colleague noticed 'AutoDesk DWG Tru view 2015' has been installed this morning on our workstations. Perhaps this has something to do with it?

(PS Inventor and Autodesk we use is release 2014)

Hello wgeerlings,

I cannot imagine any reason why the LEDs would flash. :o
  • Does the flashing stop if you just stop the driver?
  • Does the flashing stop if you unplug and replug the device?
  • Do the LEDs still flash if you stop all running applications? Start with 'Autodesk DWG True View 2015' and then stop one after the other and see if the flashing stops after you stopped an application.
Let me know your findings.

Thanks,

Strangely this has been solved automatically.
Typical IT solution: try restarting your system...... No flashing LED.... Still strange to me.

Btw I tried stopping and starting the driver, but that resulted in more and faster flasing.
No applications were running when I discovered the issue, it didn't stop flashing when applications were closed ;)

To me this is solved. If you like to receive more information for your satisfaction, just let me know and I will see where I can help you out.

Regards.
