Spacemouse Wireless - only 40Hz sampling rate

I'm testing the wireless Spacemouse and the sampling rate is only around 40Hz.
The Pilot, Explorer and Navigator all reach 62Hz - same application, same machine (and no - I don't collect 3d mice ;)
The old USBDataRate regkey does not help either.

Is this a hardware limitation or just driver stuff? Is there a way to bump the update rate up to 62Hz or beyond?
