Change text on hotkey tooltip on the display of device

Post by DmitriyMarkov »

Hello, everyone lucky guys, who have 3dconnexion devices!
I've got SpacePilot Pro with Display.
I'm just studying to use it third day, and today I have set up a shortcuts for Photoshop (I'm a UI/UX designer).
F.e.:
1st key on Space Pilot = "V" key on Keyboard = "Move Tool" in Photoshop
2nd key on SpacePilot = "M" key on keyboard = "Rectangular Marquee Tool" on Photoshop
3d key on SpacePilot = "B" key on keyboard = "Brush Tool" on Photoshop
4th key on SpacePilot = "A" key on keyboard = "Direct Selection Tool" on Photoshop
etc.

On my display I have info and it's very cool, but my quastions is:
How to enter my own text for every button?
I don't want my SpacePilot to say me, That "1st key is V key". Screen is here:

I want it to say me, that "1st key is Move Tool". S-th like this:

Can I do it?

You can do that if you create a new macro.
Open the window for the button mapping. On the field for the button where you want to have the new macro ("Move Tool") click to the little arrow on the right side. A list opens. Open the list with the "Macros" and there go to the end of the existing list. You will find an entry (blue letters) named "New Macro". This is the form that you need. You can define a name and enter the key ("V").
