I'm also having trouble with the new 3.7.12 driver. It just switches back-forth between: 3DxStudio Perspective <-> Perspective It does so constantly whenever I use the device so is therefore completely NOT usable. I use 3ds max with SpacePilot (but I expect it to be similar for your situation). Pressing the Panel button, i get to at setup where "Center of rotation" can be set to either Camera/View, Focal Point or Scene/Object.

I currently have a hardware problem, but hope this might help you.

Thank you for the info in this thread.. I can see that I am not the only one waiting to be able to use my old SpacePilot with my new "Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2010 64-bit" :)
