Re: SketchUp 2020 and Enscape 3d

4interiors,

I've made change that seem to have fixed the cooperation issues between Enscape and SketchUp.
This is with SketchUp Pro 2020 and Enscape 2.9.0+32504.
I have SU in one window and Enscape in a different separate window. Is this how you use it?

Re: Different driver versions for different software

mickey_1988, You can do a bit of mixing and matching of driver versions and plugin versions. It might break if you get too far apart in the versions you pick and choose from. 10.3 to (current) 10.7 is a far stretch. 3DxWinCore will mostly determine which device is supported. The app plugin will most...

Re: HID button count and values for event = 3, 28 & 29

Yes, some of the devices have breaks in the numbering. It's unusual for us, but is not an unusual USB practice. Had I known about it at the time I would have taken that into account when I designed the APIs. If you download our Windows driver package, there is a file, Base.xml, that describes all th...

Re: CadMouse Wireless Macro problem

Wow. You are really getting into this. It's good to see. Depending on the device, it might have LongPressButton_* assignments in Base.xml. You can change those, or copy them to your application-specific cfg file. They all run the same thing now. They bring up the VirtualLCD. If you want double click...

Re: Wireless Spacemouse zoom in problem

If it's a software setting it should show up in the GUI (see if that axis is disabled). Deleting all user cfgs would fix that. If it is a hardware problem you would see it also in our demos. If it shows up there, I'd call tech support. They will probably ask if it shows up with and without the USB c...

Re: CadMouse Wireless Macro problem

It's software. Anything is possible. I've made [nearly] everything completely open and available for anyone to read, understand and modify. All toggling rotations does is change three lines in your XML file in %appdata%. Try it and see. That file rules. Anything that can change it can change it as w...

Re: Drivers for older and new devices (SpacePilot and CADMouse)

I believe you are correct. There is no single driver version that supports both the SpacePilot and the CadMouse.

Re: Raspberry Pi

Each USB device tells exactly what it sends and how it sends it in its device descriptor. I print that at the beginning. It's also useful to uncomment that # print data line. To see the various packets that are coming from the device. On Windows, the software installs with an XML file (Base.xml) tha...

Re: Raspberry Pi

Change the dev.read to read 13 bytes.
Then you will get one long packet with the T and R vector together.
This only works with a USB connection. Not the wireless dongle.

I've only tested this on a RPi3.

Re: CadMouse Wireless Macro problem

You want to include running a driver function that toggles rotations, and in addition send a kb macro (ctrl+8), and assign all that to one button?
Not a bad idea, but no there is no way to create that in the macro editor. It's not that smart.

Re: Is it possible to rotate the control axis relative to the mouse?

There is already an Ry Axis definition in that file. Make sure you are changing it. And make sure to Enable it. It is disabled by default.

Re: Is it possible to rotate the control axis relative to the mouse?

The Axis elements from base.xml are only used if there aren't Axis elements defined in a more app-specific place for the app. You probably have Axis elements written in your user file for SOLIDWORKS if you ever used one of the filtering buttons. Delete or modify those (%appdata%/3Dconnexion/3DxWare/...

Re: Raspberry Pi

A SpaceNavigator and a SpaceMouse Wireless are two different USB devices. It searches for only the SN (c626). Looking at the code, I wonder what happens when it can't find a SpaceNavigator. It looks it raises an exception. If it continues on, then it probably has nothing to continue on with. If I co...

Re: unstable rotation range from device

There are probably hidden scale factors in the cfg file that is being used. Hover over the 3Dx systray icon when your app is in focus. It will list the cfg file in use. Open that file and you will probably find something like: <Settings> <ResponseCurve>1.7</ResponseCurve> <ScaleX>4.00</ScaleX> <Scal...
