This is crazy that you have to mess around in Terminal and disable system integrity protection simply to install a device driver!

Is this a result of system security changes with Sonoma? Surely there must be a better/safer solution to these Installer hangs.

Had to login simply to respond to this fiasco.

What a joke.

3dconnexion and maybe 3 or 4 small others are a constant pain when dealing with their software/drivers.

Thanks for this! I finally got this working.

I would like to add a small clarification that I got hung up on:

SIP must be enabled/disabled from recovery mode

systemextensionsctl must be run in regular startup mode - it will not run in recovery mode.

I did not understand this and was really frustrated that systemextensionsctl was not working...
