Not working in Tahoe at all
So in macOS Tahoe - the Helper process is crashing and the space mouse only moves the cursor?
Anyone else having issues? These are on Space pilot pro's which are pretty old now ( 2011 I think ) and happy to upgrade but wondering if the new ones - SpaceMouse Pro Wireless (Bluetooth Edition) are working at all yet?
3dconnexion can you confirm? I do remember it once took you 4 months to upgrade to the new OS!

The 3Dconnexion implementation for macOS is not really successful. I am disappointed. I wonder why this is in the system settings and cannot be managed in a separate, uniform, and platform-independent app.

Not for me ....prowlmedia wrote: ↑Wed Sep 17, 2025 7:09 am So in macOS Tahoe - the Helper process is crashing and the space mouse only moves the cursor?
3D Connexion DEXT, Helper and some others are running fine.
Dug my Enterprise out of the cupboard to test. But the overall experience on Mac is sub-par.
Bricscad offers no more support, 3D knob works, but I get ill without Lock Horizon option.
Blender does no more work at all with anything higher than V4.4.
I put the Enterprise back again
Re: Not working in Tahoe at all
The commands stored in the default configuration do work, however. But you can't change them and adapt them to your personal way of working, which is supposed to be the whole point.
By the way: Customizing the CadMouse Pro Wireless doesn't work either.

Re: Not working in Tahoe at all
Mapping is not working.
Re: Not working in Tahoe at all
Got a 3DCON newsletter. Says Blender 4.5 offers better Space Mouse support !?
At the end there are driver updates mentioned. So I opened Apple Settings, Driver, Tools - check for updates. And as always it says "you are up to date".
OK newsletter says 10.8.9 (2025-08.12 already !?) but I had still 10.8.8
I assume updating will require an annoying system restart (?) so will tell if it will work in Blender 4.5 or not ....

Re: Not working in Tahoe at all
OK, looks like 10.8.9 works with all Blenders, 4.4, 4.5, and 5.0
Can confirm that Mapping dropdown is not working across all Apps (but it uses my old assignment entries)
Blender 4.4 has older NDOF Settings, but I could get "lock horizon" working nevertheless by switching to Blenders "Turntable" rotation .... but 4.4 is obsolete now anyway ....
No Lock Horizon or other news on the Bricscad side.

Official support for macOS 26 (aka "Tahoe") will be included in v. 10.8.10 of 3DxWare 10 and includes a fix for that specific issue.
The software is currently undergoing final testing and it is available to members of the Insider programme.

Using MacBook Air, M1, 2020; Tahoe 26.0.1
3DConnexion SpaceMouse Compact, with 3DxWare 10 for macOS, Version 10.8.10
The device and its controls seem to work well in 3Dconnexion Home app, but not in any application. Used to work like a mouse in all apps before Tahoe update.
Hoping to see a fix in the near future.

Re: Not working in Tahoe at all
What is it exactly that you would like to see fixed in the future?
What exactly are you doing with your SpaceMouse in the 3Dconnexion Home menu?
What software are you using and what would you to do with the SpaceMouse?

SpaceMouse works with the Home app and the game.
SpaceMouse is working with FreeCAD 1.1dev.
SpaceMouse does not work at all with up-to-date Shapr3D.

Re: Not working in Tahoe at all
This is a known issue.
Shapr3D updated their application one or two days ago with support for version 10.8.10 of 3DxWare 10. You will want to upgrade to version 5.980 or newer.
Please refer to this web page on Shapr3D's web site.
Re: Not working in Tahoe at all
You are correct. My SpaceMouse now works with Shapr3D. I'm delighted to have one of my favorite pieces of hardware working with one of my favorite pieces of software working together again.

If the helper crashes, then something is very wrong. You will want to reach out to our technical support service (contact details available from here).prowlmedia wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 5:38 am It's still not working here - Helper app is crashing - even when launching a demo.
