Hi, I've been using my Spacemouse in Fusion 360 for a while and it works great there - navigation, the buttons, everything.
I wanted to start using it in Blender, and initially tried it in v3 LTS. The navigation there worked just as it does in Fusion: the cap represents your object (model), and the model mirrors all movements of the cap.
I then updated to Blender v5 LTS, and the navigation seems to work completely differently. The cap seems to represent the CAMERA, so if I push the cap away from me, the object gets CLOSER. If I move the cap to the left, the object pans to the RIGHT. It's kind of like controlling a fly that is zooming around your model, rather than controlling the model itself.
I've tried modifying loads of the Blender nav/input settings, but it seems impossible to restore the behaviour I had in v3. (Note that I've set it to "Object" mode, not "Fly" mode which I would probably expect to behave this way.)
What's going on? Is this a change made by 3D connexion, or the Blender devs?
I would really like to be able to use the latest version of Blender, but this makes it borderline impossible to use when I'm used to the CAD-style navigation.
(The buttons also don't seem to work, but I think I'd probably better focus on one issue at a time!)

Re: Blender v5.x - Weird view behaviour
Hello, thanks for your reply.
I had already read that page, and I don't think it contains any answer to my question. Is there a particular part of the page you think I should be looking at?
I have the Blender NDOF preferences set exactly as in the first image of the article, and it still behaves as I described. In previous Blender versions, selecting "Object" mode meant that a Spacemouse would control the model the same way it does in CAD programs. In version 5, it doesn't, and the Spacemouse seems to control the camera, despite "Object" mode being selected.
