Control panel no longer opens
I have had my Spacepilot running for quite some time but now all of a sudden it doesn't work. I have tried unplugging it and replugging while holding the 1 and 2 buttons and that doesn't work. Is there something else?

Also access the Jet Demo
Dear gshomedesign,
After replugging holding down both buttons, try opening the Jet Demo and/or the 3Dconnexion Control Panel.
Sincerely,
Bryan

Suddenly Doesn't Work
Dear gshomedesign,
Make sure you have 'Start 3DxWare' listed in the Windows 'Start' Folder.
(Start, All Programs, 'Start')
Unplug your SpacePilot.
Reboot your computer.
Then hold down the number one and number two buttons on the SpacePilot as you replug the SpacePilot.
Then access the Jet Demo (Start, 3Dconnexion, 3Dconnexion 3Dxware, Demos, Jet Demo)
What release version do you find listed in the About Item under the Help Menu in the 3Dconnexion Control Panel?
Sincerely,
Bryan

OK I've tried all that and it doesn't change anything. I need a response from someone in tech support that can explain to me how I can completely uninstall the drivers and software from the system so that I may install again with no previous trace. Other than that I doubt anyone can help. I appreicate the effort though.

check you Antivirus and spyware programs soo if any scan USB ports.
if they do that can cause problems if the application doesnt recognize our device and blocks it from starting the driver.
You may have to add exception rules and allow 3dxsrv.exe
Check with the manufactorer of the application when creatign an exception rule.
