Orthographic viewport problems in 3ds max 8

Post by Lonelymonk »

Hi All, I hope someone can help me. I am using 3ds max 8 and space navigator is working like a dream in perspective viewports. However if i use an orthographic viewport then as soon as i touch the controller the grid disapears, the viewport switches to a user view and i can no longer create any new geometry in the viewport. If I am creating a new spline at the time then it seems to really lose it, seeming to snap to points far beyond the boundaries of the viewport.

Has anyone else had similar problems or can anyone suggest a solution.

Thanks is advance

Paul
