Space Navigator - unhandled exception in Inventor

Hi,

I've been using the Navigator for a while in Inventor, but it's stopped working and I can't see any reason for it.

When I load Inventor now I get an error message "An unhandled exception occurred in your 3DxWare driver session, would you like to save a diagnostic file?"

I've installed the latest driver, and also tried reinstalling the drivers off the CD, but with the same problem. I haven't updated Inventor either, so I can't understand why this has started happening.

Any ideas? I have the dump file I can post if that is any help.

Could you confirm the generation of that diagnostic file? If you already have that file send me a private message and I will give you an address whereto you should send it.

Does the error also happens when you start the driver before launching Inventor?

Could you specify exactly what 3DxSoftware release did you install? It would be extremely helpful in analysing the log file you sent.

Hello ultraslack,

Please also turn the driver log file option on (3DxWare GUI-> tools->Write log file) and send that log file to the same address you used previously. The file will be in %APPDATA%\3dconnexion\3dxware\3dxware.log.
