Hi.
I am running Windows 7 on a Virtual Machine on my iMAC.
I can't seem to allocate a full list of Solidworks Pro 2011 commands to my Space Pilot!
Everything worked fine on my old PC, and I don't remember having any issues setting it up a few years ago! But now almost all of the commands seem not to be available for allocation using the Button Configuration on the 3D Connexion control panel! For Instance I always allocate "Normal to" to button 6 ... but the ""Normal to" command is not there!
I have re-installed the 3D Connexion drivers already.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to try and sort this out?

I don't know if it helps in your situation, but a new installation of SolidWorks might help. We have had reports from users who were missing commands and they could solve the problem with a new installation of SolidWorks.

Button Mapping Unavailable after updating SolidWorks

When SolidWorks is updated, if you find that the button mapping is no longer working the issue is typically due to a registry key remaining from the previous version's installation. You may find that the button mapping categories are not being populated - this is also an indication that the issue is due to a registry key.
To correct the problem you can use the clean install steps for the 3Dconnexion software at http://www.3dconnexion.com/faq/28 . The path listed for Vista is also correct for Windows 7. After removing the registry keys listed , one additional registry key needs to be removed from the SolidWorks add-in keys.
In ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE’ and under ‘Software’ and ‘SolidWorks' there is a folder named 'AddIns'. In the 'AddIns' folder the registry key for the 3Dconnexion add-in is the one that begins with "7B9E5...". Select this key on the left then look at the values on the right. You should see 3Dconnexion listed there. This will confirm that you have located the correct registry key that needs to be deleted .[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE|Software|SolidWorks|AddIns|7B9E5...] Removing this registry key will allow the Solidworks 2012 add-in to install correctly. Complete the clean install steps and make sure SolidWorks is closed when the 3Dconnexion software is installed.

I just moved from SW 2011 to 2012, and the Button Mapping Panel Add-In inside SW 2012 is missing the entire tool selection tree that should be on the left-hand side.

This was a clean installation of Win7, Solidworks 2012, and 3dxware on a brand new drive, though I have now re-installed 2 different versions of the 3dxware several times.
I've gone through the clean install procedure several times now, and can get the add-in installed with the non-beta software (3.15? Not sure... ) to register the buttons with that, but not the add-in installed with the beta software.
Also, when cleaning the registry, that one key in solidworks/addin is not labeled as a 3dconnexion value.

I just received a spacepilot pro at my new job. I installed the software and updated it. I run solidworks 2015 and have the latest service pack. When I click on the button mapping button in the toolbar in solidworks it brings up the button mapping box, but the tools tree is empty.
Any suggestions?
